There was going to be a car meet in summer of 2020. It was in the plans. It did not happen, but it was going to be a thing. But, we don’t need to talk about the reasons, or the year 2020. Let’s just sweep that 12-month period under the rug.
Summer 2021 came and went, way too fast. A lot of rain; weird and wacky non-Long Island weather – like Hurricane Henri that did not hit us, and Tropical Storm Ida that hit Long Island, New York City, New Jersey and Pennsylvania like a ton of bricks with little warning. Also, a lot of wraps. We found ourselves with not enough hours in the day, and then we would blink and another work week was over. Come the weekend, we were exhausted. Did any of us do anything super exciting every weekend to blow off steam from the work week? No, not really.
So we owe it to you, and to ourselves, to commit to a car meet. We want all of our customers that had their vehicle touched by our magic hands, to come and show their car off. We work on a lot of unique, not average cars, and we take pride in that. When someone has a cool car, they have a cool personality…usually. It is time to have the cars and owners together. Come and meet people that also appreciate cars and trucks.
I know it is absolutely impossible to have every single customer show up with their beautiful rides, but it would be nice. Realistically, maybe half, but then we have to take into consideration the people that are all gung-ho about the car meet, for them to just not show up. That’s cool too, we all do it. But maybe we could not do that, just this once. Do that to a family or friend’s BBQ, pool party, wedding, anything, just not our car meet.
The rubber ducky you received is going to be your free entry ticket to our car meet. There is no details, no set date, and no, I do not have answers to your questions. I do know that there will be a prize or raffle for a certificate to be used for a service at Evolve Graphics and Design. Maybe to be a runner up for the certificate, you’ll have to participate in a hand stand contest, or hula-hoop contest, or wet t-shirt contest. Maybe it comes with admission. A lot of maybes, no answers and no details…YET.
Summer of 2022 is going to be the summer and I promise, there WILL be a car meet hosted by Evolve Graphics and Design. Stay tuned for details, but also check your email. If you have received a rubber ducky, there will be an email sent out to you when there is an update or more details.
