Winter is here – and so is the snow and ice. Learn how to safely clear off your car without damaging your vinyl wrap!
Utilize Your Defroster
If you have vinyl or perforated vinyl on your windows, do NOT use an ice scraper! That will put scratches and/or gouges in your vinyl. Use what your car gave you, and defrost those windows!
Brush, Brush, Brush Your Car
…But only with a new brush that has not hit the ground! Car brushes for snow and for washing pick up any and all dirt and rocks in the bristles. Make sure you are using a new, soft bristle brush to clean off your car, and not be the a**hole who drops snow and ice chunks while driving on the L.I.E. 🙂
Clean The Salt
Ahhhh salt. Good on french fries and to season meat, but not at all good for cars. Salt will damage your vinyl wrap and stain it, and have the potential to eat away at it slowly. Take a trip to a local touch-free, brushless car wash, or have your car hand-washed with pH neutral soap to preserve your wrap.
